Privacy Policy

Subha is a tasbih and dhikr counter for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Your data stays on your devices. Saved dhikrs and routines can sync from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch. We do not receive your data.

Data Subha Collects

None.

We do not collect personal information, usage data, or device identifiers. Subha has no analytics, advertising SDKs, accounts, or application server. Saved libraries transfer only between your paired devices using Apple's WatchConnectivity. Opening the privacy-policy link loads our website in your browser.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally in the app's user defaults so that it remembers your preferences and progress between sessions:

  • Your selected bead material and any custom themes you create
  • Your appearance preference (system, light, or dark)
  • Your haptic and counter appearance settings
  • Your custom dhikrs and routines
  • The active session state (current dhikr, count, niyyah)

The watch stores a copy of your synced dhikrs and routines for offline use. Library edits and deletions are sent to the watch when connectivity is available. An active watch session keeps its selected dhikr or routine until you choose another session. Counts, niyyah, and themes are not synced between the phone and watch.

Local app data may be included in your device backup depending on your Apple settings. Backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy. We never receive them.

You can delete saved dhikrs, routines, and custom themes inside the phone app. To remove all local app data, delete the app from each device, including your Apple Watch. Offloaded apps retain their data. You can manage device backups through Apple's settings.

Permissions

Motion

Subha uses device motion to make the hanging tasbih respond to how you hold your phone. Motion readings are used only while the counter is active; they are not stored or transmitted. The counter also works without motion readings, and you can turn off Hanging tasbih in Settings.

Subha does not access or record microphone audio, and does not request camera, contacts, or location access.

Children

We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
