Privacy Policy

Subha is a tasbih and dhikr counter that runs entirely on your iPhone. This page explains what data the app touches and what it does with it. The short version: nothing leaves your device.

Data Subha Collects

None.

Subha does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information, usage data, or device identifiers. There are no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no third-party services, no accounts, and no server. The app does not make network requests.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your iPhone so that the app remembers your preferences between sessions. It is stored in standard iOS user defaults and never transmitted off the device:

  • Your selected bead material and any custom themes you create
  • Your appearance preference (system, light, or dark)
  • Your haptic, sound, and tartil settings
  • Your custom dhikrs and routines
  • The active session state (current dhikr, count, niyyah)

This information is included in your iCloud device backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled — that backup is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours. We never see it.

You can delete all of this information at any time by uninstalling the app.

Permissions

Subha requests one iOS permission:

Microphone

Subha never records audio. iOS requires apps to declare microphone access in order to observe hardware volume button presses, which Subha uses as an optional way to count beads without looking at the screen. If you decline this permission, the rest of the app works normally — only the volume-button counting feature is disabled.

Children

Subha is rated 4+ and is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
